The “Secret” to Successful Florida Keys Charter Fishing

The “Secret” to Successful Florida Keys Charter Fishing Many clients are envious of our Captains and Mates. However, most people don’t get to see all of the work behind the scenes that is required to consistently produce fish for our clients. A successful charter fishing fleet entails so much more than fishing daily. While our past article The “Secret” to Winning Florida Keys Sailfish Tournaments focused on the preparation required for high [...]

Some clients ask specifically to target shark on their trip but we also catch them while targeting other species. Sometimes our crews will see an opportunity to hook a [...]

Wintertime Wreck Fishing in the Florida Keys

Wintertime Wreck Fishing in the Florida Keys As temperatures cool in the Florida Keys to a comfortable 75 degrees the fishing heats up big-time on the reef. In addition to the living reef, the Florida Keys has a multitude of artificial reefs on the ocean floor created by sunken wrecks and debris. Beyond the living reef in the Keys there is not much more natural structure on the ocean floor as it is mostly sand bed. In order to provide more housing and spawning [...]

Florida Keys Fishing Report - September 2019 In the past week, we have had some fun fishing charters, which is great news for the month of September! Dolphin fish, which are also known as Mahi or Dorado, are still here in the Florida Keys. Captain Marty and Shelby have reported the fish to be anywhere between 15-21 miles offshore, which is about 600-800 feet deep. With [...]
