a) The Pelagic Zone is the open ocean. It is the part of the ocean that is not near land or near the bottom of the sea.

b) Pelagic species do not live in caves, rocks, artificial reefs, natural reefs or any specific areas. They swim in the open ocean and are pretty much always on the move. Great examples of pelagic species are Sailfish, Dolphinfish, and Tuna.
