Main Attraction Summer 2025 News Update

We’re thrilled to announce the expansion of our Main Attraction Sportfishing fleet with the addition of a 33-foot SeaHunter! Captain Marty Lewis had a vision for this vessel; over the past few months, we’ve installed a new tower with a second control station, repainted the engines, and added a canvas top and tower backrest cushion. We can’t wait for you to experience our newest boat!

New Vessel Added To The Fleet

We are fans of SeaHunters at Main Attraction, as we find them to be one of the most comfortable center console boats on the market.

Like our other SeaHunter, the Reel One offers comfortable seating and an onboard toilet, but it stands out with a state-of-the-art Seakeeper for even greater comfort on the water. A SeaKeeper is a gyroscopic boat stabilizer that uses a rapidly spinning flywheel within a vacuum-sealed sphere to generate powerful torque, actively counteracting a boat’s side-to-side rolling motion and providing a much more stable and comfortable experience.

Reel One

The Reel One is our most recent addition to the fleet.

The Seakeeper technology pairs nicely with the triple motors to ensure comfort even when the vessel is moving at high speed to the next set of fish. When you’re battling a fish, the higher gunwales on this vessel also offer superior support, allowing you to lock in your legs and brace yourself firmly.

Also, SeaHunter boats are virtually unsinkable due to their foam-filled construction, where all open areas and voids within the hull are injected with 4lb closed-cell marine foam, providing inherent buoyancy even if the hull is compromised.

When it comes to our fleet, safety, speed, and comfort are paramount, and the new Reel One checks all the boxes! We’re incredibly excited to bring this vessel into service. Find all the details and book your adventure on our rates page now.

Vac Seal and Shipping Service Launch

And the exciting news keeps coming! We’re thrilled to announce we now offer vacuum sealing and fish shipping services!

We’re your one-stop shop! After your trip, our Captain or Mate will fillet your catch, you’ll fill out a quick form, and your fish will be ready for pickup in a cooler.

We have a fantastic workshop set up with two industrial vacuum sealers, a full-size refrigerator to hold your catch until the vacuum sealing occurs, and four deep freezers.

Vac Sealing

Once your catch is frozen solid, we will ship your fish in Styrofoam coolers, packed with icepacks, to your doorstep. We ship Monday through Wednesday, so if you drop off your order after the previous Wednesday, it will be shipped the following week.

While we’d love to have you on board, our fish packing service isn’t exclusive to our charters. Even if you fish with another legitimate operation in town, you can still access our vacuum sealing and shipping—just let us know!

Fish Packing

Fishing Report

In addition to the new boat and fish packing business, let’s talk June fishing in the Florida Keys. It’s been a phenomenal Mahi season so far, and we’ve been fortunate to catch some nicer-sized fish. Now, this isn’t every day, but compared to years past, we have found quite a few more gaffers and slammers this year.

Slammers

We’ve had some unseasonably breezy weather lately, with winds consistently between 10-20 mph. We’re definitely not complaining, though! These refreshing conditions have kept things nice and cool on the water, and perhaps they’re even contributing to the fantastic fishing we’ve been seeing.

As we approach the month of July, we are staying busy and look forward to welcoming all our regular clients, as well as building lasting relationships with new faces who will be joining us.

This time of year is very focused on offshore fishing, but Captain Marty recently had a reef trip that did quite well, catching a nice black grouper and some monster Mangrove Snapper. Don’t forget The Mangrove Snapper spawn is just around the corner! This is prime time to stock up on delicious snapper meat, and they’re incredibly fun to catch.

Some big Mangrove Snappers caught aboard the Reel One.

Hitting the reef early in the morning before heading offshore for Mahi is a great way to stock up on some meat, which we can ship home to you now!
