Katie and her friends celebrating her birthday. The summertime season is just around the corner, and soon we'll be running charters nonstop until the fall. Believe it or not, on our days off, we like to fish, which we call fun-fishing. While we love our jobs, the difference between charters and fun-fishing is that their is no pressure to produce fish. This lets us cut loose, have a beer, and be a little sillier than we might be with a client onboard. Every year on Cinco de Mayo, Main Attraction co-owner Katie Lewis goes fun [...]
Florida Keys Holiday Season Fishing Report – December 2022
One of our busiest weeks of the year is right around the corner. Anglers from all over the country will come to the Florida keys during Christmas week, most to escape the snow and bitter cold. Florida Keys Hurricane Update & Fishing Report – November 2022
There is never a dull moment here in the Florida Keys, especially during hurricane season. The storm meant no fishing for a few days. There was also some destruction in the town, such as lost dockage, but it was much worse for other parts of Florida. [...]

Two-Day Florida Keys Summer Fishing Charter Camp – July 2022
We had such a blast hosting our spring fish camp that we have decided to do a summertime fish camp! The summer brings calmer seas and winds, which is excellent news because typically, we need to head further offshore to catch fish this time of year. So we switch gears in the summer and spend most of our time offshore. The winter/spring gusty winds have subsided by May, allowing us to travel far enough to target deep-sea pelagic and bottom-dwelling fish. We still monitor the weather because we occasionally see fronts or tropical systems in the summertime. Dates [...]
