Tuna fishing on the Marathon Hump When customers book a Blackfin Tuna trip with Main Attraction, it means we are fueling up, catching large amounts of fresh, live bait, and heading 27 plus miles offshore to the Marathon Hump! The Hump looks like an underwater mountain causing depths to range from 1150 feet to 480 feet at its pinnacle. Christmas Week Fishing Report - December 29, 2018 The holiday season is one of the busiest times of the year for fishing in the Florida Keys. The Main Attraction Fleet fished 30+ charters in the past week, not including Christmas Day. The week started off with a slower bite but has been getting better and better. We had boats coming in yesterday with Blackfin Tuna, Dolphin, Mackerel, Mangrove Snapper, and Mutton snapper. Florida Keys Mahi fishing in November! Every year, many Floridians travel to the Florida Keys to fill their freezer with Dolphinfish (a.k.a. Mahi Mahi) filets. Because of this, we often get asked what are the best months to catch large quantities of Dolphinfish.
