Recently, there has been a lot of talk about our good friend Brice Barr's 2nd year sailfish tournament in Key West. The Key West Sailfish Tournament is a two-day tournament held this year on Friday, March 28th, and Saturday, March 29th. Eleven days after fishing the 2025 Fish for Holly Sailfish Tournament in Islamorada, Team Main Attraction was back at it again! This time, it was to fish the Islamorada Fishing Club tournament which is the second leg of the Florida Keys Gold Cup Series. 2025 Fish For Holly Sailfish Tournament
2025 is in full swing, and the first quarter brings a busy schedule of sailfish tournaments for our Main Attraction crew. Each year, we look forward to the first tournament, the Fish for Holly, which generally happens on the first weekend of January. For those that are unfamiliar, the tournament is in memory of Holly Givens, an Islamorada local that lost her life tragically to domestic abuse. Now that the holidays are behind us, it is time to focus on Sailfish! We started 2024 with one of the first Sailfish Tournaments of the new year, The Fish for Holly Sailfish Tournament out of Islamorada. Main Attraction owners Captain Marty Lewis and his Wife, Katie Lewis, fish this tournament yearly. It is a wonderful tournament that raises money for an important cause: raising awareness about domestic violence. 2023 Marathon Premier Sailfish Tournament Recap
The second annual Marathon Premier Sailfish Tournament concluded last week. There were a total of 14 boats, and 83 anglers signed up. The Main Attraction fishing team had three boats signed up to fish. The Main One was booked by our longtime client Mark Busch. Mark booked Captain Marty Lewis to fish on the 49' Sportfish a year in advance. The Bowcock family also rebooked the tournament a year in advance and were fishing on the Main Attraction for the second year.
